I breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that the ordeal was over. But then, my dad spoke up. “I remember something,” he said, his voice shaking. “I remember a dark forest, and a figure in the distance. It was calling to me, and I felt an overwhelming urge to follow it.”
As the video played, I watched in amazement as my family members started to stir. They looked around, confused, and slowly started to regain their senses. My mom looked at me and said, “What’s going on? What happened?” I glared at him, unsure of what to say
At first, everything seemed normal. My mom was watching TV, my dad was reading the newspaper, and my siblings were playing video games on their phones. But as the day went on, I started to notice that they were all acting… off. They would stare blankly into space, repeating the same phrases over and over again. My mom would say “I am relaxed” for hours on end, while my dad would claim “I am strong” with a robotic tone.
