A Cult Leader - My Life As

I tried to convince her to stay, using all of the manipulative tactics I had honed over the years. But she was resolute. She told me that she had realized that I was controlling her, that I was using her for my own gain. She said she wanted to be free.

It was a turning point for me. For the first time, I saw the harm that I had caused. I realized that I had been using my power to destroy people’s lives, not to help them. It was a hard pill to swallow, but I knew I had to change. I started to seek help, to try and understand why I had become the person I was. I went to therapy, and I started to read about the psychology of cults.
