Early Beginnings: A Brief History of Tubes To understand how tubes have matured over time, it’s essential to explore their early history. The first tubes were likely made from natural materials like bamboo, wood, and bone, used by ancient civilizations for various purposes, including irrigation, transportation, and construction. As civilizations evolved, so did the materials and techniques used to create tubes.
